Barrett joined Serpe Andrews as an Associate in July 2023. His primary practice area is civil litigation with a focus on medical malpractice.

Before practicing law, Barrett worked as a healthcare administrator for 20 years, serving as a Regional Vice President of a large healthcare system for the last 6 of those years. He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and currently serves on the board of the Gulf Coast Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Barrett’s healthcare experience working with senior level executives to develop system-wide strategy makes him well-suited to understand client needs, and to handle any conflict that may arise.

Barrett earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas Woman’s University. Barrett earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law in December 2022 where he was selected as Presidential Fellow for academic excellence and achieved Dean’s List honors multiple years. While in law school, Barrett served as the student representative for the Cancer Legal Advocacy Interest Group of the American Bar Association.

Outside of work, Barrett enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
