Christina has been licensed in New Mexico since 2006 and she has represented clients in New Mexico state district courts and Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court in the District of New Mexico, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Prior to joining the Serpe Andrews team, she was a managing partner of Brennan & Sullivan, P.A. in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Christina has over fifteen years of litigation experience in New Mexico state and federal courts, including first and second chair practice representing defendants in jury trials. She has extensive experience in the areas of personal injury, tort claims, wrongful death claims, civil rights and discrimination, employment law, and appellate practice. She also represents private companies, governmental entities, and law enforcement personnel in general litigation. She represents clients throughout the state of New Mexico in all phases of the litigation process- from fact investigation, discovery, dispositive motion practice and oral argument, through trial and post-trial motions and appeals. Christina also has significant administrative practice experience at New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions, EEOC, and the New Mexico State Personnel Office. Christina has a track record of obtaining favorable defense verdicts at trial and through motions practice as well as obtaining settlements below the settlement demand.

Christina lives in Santa Fe with her husband and two children. She enjoys hiking, spending time in the outdoors, and is an avid reader.

  • Lead defense counsel in civil rights excessive force case, tried before a jury in the U.S. District Court, District of New Mexico. After successfully achieving summary judgment on five of six counts, the jury returned a verdict that reflected a mere 1.3% of what Plaintiff’s attorney requested in closing argument. Post-trial motion practice reduced by 30% the fee award requested by Plaintiff’s attorney. Estrella Tenorio v. San Miguel County, et. al., Case No. 15-CV-349 LF/WPL.
  • Second chair defense counsel in wrongful death case, in which a motorcyclist struck a piece of a bucket truck that had come loose and fallen on to the highway. The jury was given a res ipsa loquitor instruction against defendant. A total defense verdict was achieved. Eugenia McEaddy v.   • Successfully achieved dismissal of claims that a plaintiff was subject to unlawful search, unlawful seizure, and malicious prosecution by law enforcement. All claims against the client sheriff’s department were dismissed with prejudice as the Court found the areas searched were not sufficiently private to attach an expectation of privacy, areas were opened to public view with actual or apparent authority of Vigil’s employer, and there was probable cause to arrest. John Vigil v. San Miguel County, et al., Civ. No. 18-829 SCY/JR (D. N.M. July 14, 2021).
