Ashleigh joined Serpe Andrews as an Associate in 2025. Prior to graduating summa cum laude from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2025, Ashleigh received her B.S. And M.A. in Criminal Justice with honors. She then spent over seven years in child welfare and advocacy, where she specialized in conducting high-profile, sexual exploitation/abuse, and child fatality abuse and neglect investigations. During law school, she completed clerkships with the U.S. Department of Justice and the New Mexico Court of Appeals, while conducting legal research on child sexual abuse and abusive head trauma.
Serving as a Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Fellow in 2023, Ashleigh also taught civil education in high-poverty, culturally diverse New Mexico schools. She also served as President of the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Student Chapter throughout 2022–2025.
Her work, “Cobalt’s Climate Paradox: Global Ambitions for a Greener Future Rely on Blood-Stained Hands,” will appear in the January issue of the University of New Mexico’s Natural Resource Journal. She was honored in 2022 when she was officially named as a Pat Tillman Scholar. Ashleigh has served in AmeriCorps and Big Brothers Big Sisters and frequently volunteers her time serving the local community, to include local shelters and contributing to her husband’s Army unit. Ashleigh often volunteers with human trafficking shelters.
She enjoys rock climbing, diving, wakeboarding, reading, and spending time with her family.
