She is a commercial litigator with extensive experience defending clients in the healthcare, energy, and construction industries in both Texas and New Mexico. Kelsey is adept at all phases of litigation from pre-suit negotiation, discovery, motion practice, mediation, trial, and appeal. Kelsey has tried over a dozen cases to verdict, including, most recently, a commercial matter that resulted in favorable jury findings for her clients. Kelsey is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of both Texas and New Mexico, as well as the Eastern District of Michigan.

While in law school, she was heavily involved in South Texas’ award-winning advocacy program, excelling in both mock trial and moot court. In 2014, Kelsey was selected to represent South Texas at the prestigious, invitation-only Top Gun mock trial competition where she placed fifth in the nation among top student advocates. She was also a member of the South Texas Law Review. Upon graduation, Kelsey was inducted in the National Order of Barristers. After graduation, Kelsey completed a year-long clerkship with the Presiding Judge of the Court of Criminal Appeals, Texas’ highest court for criminal matters.
