Michelle joined Serpe Andrews as Of Counsel in May 2025. Her practice involves a broad range of civil matters with a primary focus on medical malpractice litigation.

After earning her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University, Michelle moved to Houston from a small town in Western New York and has proudly called Texas home for over fifteen years. Michelle earned her J.D. from South Texas College of Law in May 2012.

Prior to joining Serpe Andrews, Michelle spent more than a decade at a prominent plaintiff’s personal injury firm in Houston, where she became the first woman in the firm’s 70-year history to serve on its management committee. During that time, Michelle successfully litigated cases involving motor vehicle accidents, defective products, industrial workplace accidents, and medical malpractice. Michelle’s trial experience spans state and federal courts. Outside the courtroom, Michelle played a key role in managing complex personal injury and wrongful death cases, including a mass tort docket involving victims of the 2017 Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting, which resulted in a landmark $800 million global settlement.

In May 2025, Michelle transitioned to the defense bar. Michelle’s experience as a former plaintiff attorney provides her with a distinct advantage. She understands the mindset and methods employed by plaintiff attorneys, allowing her to anticipate their strategies, evaluate and mitigate risk effectively, and develop a tailored defense for her clients.

Outside of work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband, Larry, and their daughter, Taylor, and traveling whenever possible.
