Jonathan Pena joined Serpe Andrews as Of Counsel in 2026. Jonathan represents businesses, professionals, healthcare providers, and governmental entities in a broad range of disputes and litigation matters. His practice includes commercial litigation, employment and labor law, healthcare-related disputes, civil rights defense, premises liability, and other complex business disputes. Jonathan takes a practical and business-minded approach to litigation, helping clients navigate disputes efficiently while remaining focused on their long-term goals.

Prior to joining Serpe Andrews, Jonathan practiced at a national Am Law 200 law firm, where he represented businesses, employers, and professionals in a variety of litigation matters. Before entering private practice, Jonathan served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas. Jonathan has represented clients in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels, including trying cases to verdict in federal court and handling appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He has successfully defended civil rights actions, including claims brought under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 and Bivens.

Jonathan is licensed to practice law in Texas and is admitted before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas.

Outside of the office, Jonathan enjoys traveling, fitness, pickleball, tennis, and spending time outdoors.
