Samuel Willette joined Serpe Andrews PLLC in September 2026. Since graduating from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2017, Samuel has worked in both private practice and for various government entities, including the Departments of Revenue of Montana and Washington, the District of Arizona Bankruptcy Court, and most recently the Washington Attorney General's Office.
As a Washington state assistant attorney general, Samuel defended Washington state agencies in high-stakes cases. He has successfully briefed and argued a significant number of dispositive motions, resulting in zero payout for the clients. He has also successfully used motions practice and discovery to position his clients for resolution through favorable settlements. But not all cases can be resolved through motions or settlement, and Samuel has taken multiple cases to trial in various counties throughout Washington state.
Samuel understands that the strategy of trial starts the moment the case lands on his caseload. Developing the trial themes and strategies and an understanding of the important legal arguments of a case happens long before the parties get to the ultimate stage of litigation. Samuel's goal throughout is to position his clients to be involved in the important decisions that affect their interests, while always minimizing risk and positioning them for the best possible resolution of a case.
Samuel spends the majority of his time outside of the office with his wife and daughter. When he's not joyfully chasing them around, he prefers chasing birdies during the warmer months and snowstorms during the winter.
